Electroplated

At Par Taps, we believe quality should never be an illusion. That’s why we exclusively use electroplating, a time-honoured method that’s been trusted for over 200 years to finish every piece of our tapware with genuine metals like 23K gold, chrome, and nickel. Electroplating is a process that uses parts submerged in a bath with an electric current to deposit a layer of the selected metal onto the surface of our brass components. This process is decorative in nature yet durable and corrosion resistant. While PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) is commonly used across the industry to mimic metal finishes, it requires electroplating as a base layer. At Par Taps, we take the direct path using real metals from the start, for finishes that look and feel authentic. We don’t settle for coatings that just look the part. We finish with care and integrity, and human craftmanship behind each piece.
